Ask The Capricorn No. 01
Timing a Rebrand, Building a Brand That Sticks, and Tools I Actually Use
Welcome to the very first edition of Ask the Capricorn — a new corner of The Lunaria Letter where your burning questions are met with intuition, insight, and a little bit of Saturnian love. When I first opened up my Instagram stories for submissions, the questions that came through were absolute gold. I’ve picked three to explore this time, but be sure to follow me over there to submit yours for next month’s column or drop them in the comments below!
Question 01 from Libby Christenson
What is the most important element to focus on when trying to establish a new brand?
My answer to this question is a bit of a triangle — and naturally, I’m going to be using astrology to explain it.
When you’re just starting to learn astrology, you begin with the Sun, Moon, and Rising. In my branding framework, these three placements mirror the foundational elements of a brand:
Sun: This represents the outward-facing mission and values — your brand’s core essence. Why does your brand exist? What are its guiding principles?
Moon: This is your brand’s emotional frequency — what I sometimes call the brand vibe. How do you want your audience to feel when they interact with your brand? What are the adjectives you’d use to describe it without naming your product or service?
Rising: The way your brand presents itself to the world — its aesthetic, tone, and how everything comes together to meet the outside gaze. It’s how your mission and emotion translate into actual expression.
Start by going deep into your why and the feelings you want your brand to evoke — before you even think about marketing. From there, you can take aligned, intentional action that feels true to you. It becomes your compass — helping you create from a place of clarity and originality, instead of looking around and trying to mimic what everyone else is doing.
Question 02 from Catherine Paquette
When do we know when it’s time to rebrand?
This is a conversation I find myself having a lot — and I always come back to the old jeans metaphor.
You know the ones. That pair of jeans that used to feel amazing, but now they’ve stretched out, don’t quite flatter the way they used to, and maybe even hold you back a bit. Would you wear them to a big event? Do they make you feel like your most confident self? Are you holding onto them just because they’ve been with you for years?
If your branding feels like those jeans, it might be time for an upgrade.
Some good questions to ask yourself:
Has my audience or offering evolved in the last 6–12 months?
Am I craving a pivot — to new content, a new service, or a new tone of voice?
Do my brand values feel different now than when I first started?
Am I bored or uninspired by my current visual identity?
Rebrands shouldn’t be impulsive — but they are sometimes necessary. Think of it as a thoughtful evolution. You’re honoring the essence of what you've built, while also making space for the version of you (and your brand) that’s ready to emerge. It’s about staying aligned — with your mission, your audience, and the places you’re dreaming of going next. If you want my help in doing that, you can always fill out an inquiry form so we can chat! Question 03 from Seth Jubb
What are the most valuable subscription services for solopreneurs?
Before I dive in, I have to recommend Seth’s own Substack, where he shares brilliant insights on astrology, wellness, and current transits. If you’re not already subscribed, go treat yourself.
Now, onto your question. It’s a little tricky to give a one-size-fits-all answer without knowing the type of work you do — but here are four tools I swear by as a solopreneur:
Canva — for social graphics
I know, I know — a designer recommending Canva? Shocking. But hear me out. While I do 95% of my design work in the Adobe Suite, Canva is a fantastic bridge between my world and my clients. You can upload your fonts, set your brand colors, and create templates that are incredibly easy to use — especially if you don’t have time to learn complex design software. It’s quick, accessible, and honestly? A game-changer for non-designers.
Calendly — for scheduling sessions
As someone who lives in Spain but works primarily with clients in the U.S., Calendly is my time-zone lifesaver. I love how it automatically converts time zones, integrates with Stripe for paid sessions, and offers plenty of flexibility even on the free plan. It takes the back-and-forth out of booking and keeps things smooth and streamlined.
Squarespace — for websites
I could write a whole dissertation on why I think Squarespace is the platform for solopreneurs. It’s intuitive, beautiful, and incredibly functional, even without a background in web design. They’ve been rolling out some great new features lately that allow for even more customization. It’s easy to build, easy to update, and easy to sell through. (And if you do want a custom touch, I know a girl)
HoneyBook — for contracts, invoicing, and client management
This one depends on the type of work you do, but if you’re managing multiple clients or recurring projects, HoneyBook is a dream. It keeps all the “not fun” parts of running a business — contracts, invoices, intake forms, project timelines — in one place. I’ve been using it since 2021 and they’d have to pry it out of my cold, hysterical hands. Bonus: their support team is amazing, and I do have a referral link that gets you 30% off your first year if you want to give it a try.
That’s all for this month’s Ask the Capricorn — thank you for trusting me with your questions and curiosities. I absolutely loved answering these, and I hope they brought you clarity, inspiration, or at the very least, a gentle nudge forward.
If you want your question featured in the next edition, you can drop it in the comments below or keep an eye on my Instagram stories — I’ll be opening up the question box again soon.
With all the love,
